Truck PA 45(E-W) (Spruce Creek)/PA 350(S-N) Duplex

Truck PA 45 and PA 350 join for 5 miles from Warriors Mark to Seven Stars in Huntingdon County.

Truck PA 45 is designated to route truck traffic away from the steep, curvy hill and low railroad overpass near Spruce Creek, which is about 4 miles from PA 45's western terminus at PA 453. Truck PA 45 begins to the northeast in Seven Stars and follows PA 350, PA 550, and PA 453 to join PA 45 at the western terminus. Thus Truck PA 45 is duplexed for its entire length. This view of Truck PA 45/PA 350 shows the confirmation shields from the southern end of the duplex. The road traverses farmland here.

Heading toward the southern terminus along Truck PA 45 eastbound/PA 350 southbound, the END sign for PA 350 appears with the JCT sign for PA 45. Both Truck PA 45 and PA 350 end at PA 45 just ahead.

Approaching the double terminus, the END Truck PA 45 shield is posted with the PA 45 directional shields. The intersection is a Y-intersection.

Jumping to PA 45 westbound approaching the same intersection, this unique sign directs truck traffic to follow the truck route. The clearance is quite low on the railroad overpass a few miles ahead on PA 45, since 8' 2" is the height limit. Just ahead is the JCT PA 350 sign.

Approaching the Y-intersection, the three route possibilities are signed here.

Four miles to the northwest, Truck PA 45 and PA 350 split here in Warriors Mark at a four-way stop. This is the view from Truck PA 45/PA 350. PA 350 continues forward, while PA 550 runs to the left and right. Truck PA 45 turns left onto PA 550 southbound.

Here is the view of the same intersection, the northern split, as viewed from the northern split of Truck PA 45/PA 550. The Truck PA 45/PA 350 duplex begins here to the right.

Here is a close-up shot of the shields in the previous photo.

Here is a third view of the northern split as viewed from PA 550 southbound. Unlike at the southern split, where PA 45 introduced Truck PA 45 and PA 350 one at a time, the JCT signs for Truck PA 45 and PA 350 are posted together here. The southern split in Seven Stars is five miles away. PA 350 joins US 220 in Bald Eagle four miles to the northwest, after climbing and descending a mountain.

Truck PA 45 is not mentioned along PA 350 southbound approaching Truck PA 45/PA 550.
