Pennsylvania Routes 381 and 711 join for 10 miles from Normalville in Fayette County to Jones Mills in Westmoreland County.

Near Jones Mills, PA 711 splits off to the south along PA 381 south through the state parks of Fayette County. Three routes and three duplexes meet at the upcoming intersection: PA 31/PA 711, PA 31/PA 381, and PA 381/PA 711.

Around the bend, PA 711 splits off to the right, while PA 31 east/PA 381 north continues straight ahead to Jones Mills and the Forbes State Forest.

Northbound at PA 31 and the end of the PA 381/PA 711 duplex. The two joined routes split apart to form duplexes with PA 31. A left turn begins the PA 31/PA 711 duplex.
